In 2016 CD Barnes Construction created an award program to recognize subcontractors who go above and beyond their everyday duties, and exemplify the best in performance, quality, and communication to ensure the success of a project for the West Michigan general contractor. The program, coined “Key to Our Success,” signifies the direct relationship between the efforts of the subcontractor and the general contractor. CD Barnes Construction would not be what it is today without the commitment of our long-standing partnerships with our subcontractors.
The most recent award winner Is Randl Interiors, a commercial contractor, specializing in metal framing, rough & finish carpentry, drywall hanging & finishing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, plaster and EIFS work with offices in Holland, Michigan. CD Barnes’ Project Managers’, Casey Pinkelman and Lynne Blondell both nominated Randl for their work performed at Shoreline Orthopaedics project in Hudsonville and the Space Squared project in Grand Rapids. When asked why Randl was the obvious choice, both Casey and Lynne agreed that their attention to schedule and detail as well as their ability to value engineer projects due to their extensive knowledge was unrivaled. Prism Glass

The most recent award winner is Prism Glass, a commercial glass, glazing and service contractor with offices in Zeeland, Michigan. CD Barnes’ Project Manager, Casey Pinkelman is the one who nominated Prism for their work performed on the Keegstra's remodel project in Hudsonville. When asked why he chose Prism, Casey remarked. “The Prism Glass team was incredibly flexible to doing what needed to be done for the project to be completed on-time, this project was in the heart of Hudsonville, so it was important for us to honor the history of Keegstra’s while also modernizing the exterior.” Bravo Prism Glass!
Fabtec

The most recent award winner, Fabtec, a commercial contractor specializing in structural steel fabrication and ornamental metals for both commercial and residential construction, with offices in Byron Center, Michigan. CD Barnes’ Project Manager, Lynne Blondell nominated Fabtec for their work performed at the new Ramblewood Clubhouse in Grandville, MI. When asked why Fabtec was the obvious choice, Lynne commented that their open communication, responsiveness, commitment to safety and overall positive attitude led to her decision. Bravo Fabtec!
Elite Disposal

The most recent award winner, Elite Disposal, a commercial contractor specializing in providing complete roll off dumpster service for both commercial and residential construction in West Michigan. Collectively our site superintendents nominated Elite Disposal for their work performed at various projects this year. When asked why Elite was the obvious choice, everyone agreed that they are a vital part of project logistics, management and site coordination. All the drivers are trained to be professional, courteous and patient. The owner, Paul Pitsch, exemplifies leadership qualities and is rarely seen without a smile on his face. Inline Electric & Controls, a commercial contractor specializing in electric and controls for residential, commercial and industrial projects. CD Barnes’ Project Manager, Casey Pinkelman, who was assigned to the Shoreline Orthopaedics project, described his reasoning for choosing Inline Electric for the award, “Time and again Inline has proven to be a leader in their field. Always providing top notch service and communication. This project had several unforeseen material delays that Inline dealt with professionally and efficiently, working through the night to complete the project.” Thanks Inline for being a valuable member of the CD Barnes Team!

The 1st Quarter winner, Elders Electric, a commercial contractor for electric service and contracting for residential, commercial and industrial projects, exemplifies this award. The entire team at the Commons at Rivertown project nominated Elders for their work on the project saying: “The Elders team has been and continues to be a vital cog of this large machine to deliver a great product to our client in a timely manner. The most recent award winner, J & S Siding, the premier siding contractor for residential and commercial projects, exemplifies this award.
