
CD Barnes Construction was selected to manage the construction of a new office building at the Aleda E. Lutz Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Saginaw, Michigan. This facility is part of the VAMC’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services for veterans in the region. The project involved the construction of a multi-story office building designed to accommodate administrative and clinical support functions. The building was constructed to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver rating, incorporating sustainable design practices to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. Key features included energy-efficient lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as advanced insulation materials.
