In 2012, Licari’s Sicilian Pizza Kitchen opened their doors to guests at Knapp’s Corner for the first time. In 2016, the restaurant won MLive’s 2016 Michigan’s Best Pizza Award. By the fall of 2017, owners Gianni and Lisa felt it was time to open a second location at the corner of 36th Avenue and Baldwin Street in Hudsonville. Being the larger location of the two, the new restaurant features an outdoor patio, shiny, polished concrete floors, a combination of rustic and contemporary light fixtures, and wood accents that complement the lightcolored walls and tiled backsplashes. Two solid maple, custom built accents catch your eye as soon as you enter the door of the restaurant: a rolling barn-style door that separates a private dining area from the rest of the dining room and a smooth-as-glass, high-gloss epoxy resin finished bar top. Licari’s is airy, easy-going, and the spin on the Sicilian food is as delicious as the atmosphere.
