Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge Law

Location

Grand Rapids, MI

The law offices of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge, located in the Calder Plaza building, began as a Design/Build project that culminated in a joint effort by the owner, contractor and architect. The third floor underwent a complete renovation that started with the demolition of all existing vertical and horizontal surfaces. Once the demolition was complete we began a fast and calculated makeover of mechanical, electrical and architectural features. All new duct work and support services were added, including the most up-to-date building maintenance system. Electrical enhancements included new lighting, centralized controls and security. Architectural additions incorporated fabric wall coverings, light toned paint and complimentary woodwork that blended with the existing construction linked to a beautiful oak staircase to the second floor. The project included transferring the existing shelf style law library to a state-of-the-art high density filing system that contains both the library and current record documentation.
