Holland, MIFollowing the announcement of the “de-malling” project at the Westshore Mall, the mall held a Shark Tank-like contest for the public to showcase their entrepreneurial business ideas. The prize for winning the competition was one year of free rent on a tenant space in the mall and ten thousand dollars’ worth of marketing support from local businesses. With more than twenty entries into the contest, the business that won was a local gluten-free bakery called Sandcastle Breads. Prior to calling the Shops at Westshore home, the bakery sold their product at various farmers markets.
