Milestones Child Development Center – Portage

The Milestones Child Development Center’s Portage location made it the childcare provider’s fourth West Michigan location and the sixth project that CD Barnes Construction has completed for them. As one of West Michigan’s top childcare providers, Milestones has become known for their hands-on approach to child development and having the area’s safest facilities. The Portage location is the first of their centers to have a hands-free facial recognition entry system and pull alarms located throughout the facility that will alert all rooms of danger and automatically call the local police department in the case of an emergency. In addition to the standard classrooms, the center also features an outdoor classroom and a natural playground that was designed using stone, wood, plants, water and soil.
