Kendall College of Art and Design

The sixth floor of Kendall College underwent demolition and renovations in order to add new classrooms, studios, corridors, faculty offices, restrooms and gallery space. The renovation included new flooring and new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. Being that the sixth floor houses the painting program, special ventilation equipment was installed to monitor the air quality. The extensive exhaust assembly is controlled by computers that calculate the square footage of a room and replaces the stale air with fresh outdoor air, instead of simply recirculating it.
