Hanger Clinic

Grand Rapids, MIIn October of 2014, CD Barnes Construction was chosen as the general contractor to renovate an existing space for Hanger Clinic, the world’s premier provider of orthotic and prosthetic services and products. The new location made it Hanger Clinic’s tenth center in Michigan and fourth in the Greater Grand Rapids area.
The renovation entailed heavy demolition of a vacant suite at 5783 Byron Center Avenue SW in Wyoming. Due to the extent of demolition, all flooring and ceilings were replaced. In turn, this called for all new finishes as well. The new clinic includes a waiting room, reception area, laboratory, office for clinicians, an exam and fitting room and also a gait room—a room with equipment designed to check the patient’s ability to use their orthotic/prosthetic.
