Celebration! Cinema Crossroads

Portage, MIAfter purchasing an existing eight screen theater property in 2005, Celebration! Cinema hired CD Barnes Construction to renovate and add an additional seven screens to the movie theater.
In 2011, CD Barnes returned to raise the roof on one of the theater rooms to accommodate an IMAX movie screen. This was the first project of its kind; never has an existing theater been converted to an IMAX format. Throughout the duration of the IMAX install, the other theater rooms continued showing movies as usual.
Following the recent trend in the theater industry, Celebration! once again brought the CD Barnes team back in 2017 to complete a seating renovation for the location. The renovation entailed the installation of 900 new powered recliners in all but the IMAX studio.
